hello all

I know its been a while since I have done an update - to be honest my life has been manic since we moved back to the UK with new homes and new schools but it looks like it is finally settling down. 

On the upside, I am hoping that the whole copyright and usage right madness with Apple should be sorted out before christmas - this is due to the fact that the UK and the USA have very different digital management criteria. This means that I am hoping to get some new releases out in the new year all going according to the current timetable.

for any new fans of the App, I hope the information below is helpful.

here's the front screen and what the icons do...

so the first video is showing all of the sketches and how to go between screens - the big thing is that to see the sample layout you touch the sketch. you can zoom using your fingers as with other Apple programs. (there is no sound as i sound like a squirrel)

Welcome Summertime!

Hello everyone, I am slowly recovering from the intercontinental move from Canada to the UK so progress has been delayed on some of the new releases while I get resettled.

We are also working on some upgrades to the currents app to see if we can add in some of your suggestions like a Favourites button! My development team are awesome so hoping to have more news on that soon.

so I thought I'd share some of the cards from the Sketches4Cards App... aren't these just beautiful cards

want to be one of the Artists in the next Card or Layout App??

sorry for the big gap in posts but I've just moved house across countries so its been really busy in my house for a while. anyways, the latest news is that I am getting through all the emails so if you are waiting for an email, it will be there soon... and i've started work on a new release for both versions - Layouts and Cards that will be out in the few few months...!!

and to add something new, I am having an open call for some new faces to join my team of wonderful artists.

so if you would like to be part of the next release, here's what you need to know and do:

Sketches2Scrapbook CARDS:

to be part of the team, all you need to email me the direct links to your favourite two cards on your blog by the 5th of April (next Tuesday) with the subject line "Sketches2Scrapbook CARDS - new team".

We are asking for everyone selected to produce 3 cards (ie you'll be sent 3 sketches) on a certain theme by the 20th of April 2011 which is 2 weeks after the closing date.

All we need for the App is a high quality PHOTOGRAPH of your artwork (and a supply list) so you are not shipping or mailing your card anywhere. Below is the standard my Development team are looking for both is level of detail and staging of card for photographing.

Be aware that the deadline is Wednesday 20th of April (2 weeks Creating time) - this is important as there is no extension available and so if you are not able to produce the cards by then, we will not be able to include them in the App release.

In exchange for use of your artworks, we will send you a code for the App once it is released for sale. If you do not have an Apple Product (iPhone, iPad or itouch) you can give the code to a friend or give it away on your blog.

it's been so quiet...

... becuase we've been manically putting together a second release for the App - looking at getting it out on Sale for the end of January!!

a little update

I know i've been sparse with the updates but it's becuase I've been really busy as I am working on the next release of Sketches for the App - timeline is working well and we're hoping to have it out for the End of January :) 

and we're working away on the Android, Smartphone and blackberry versions but thats a tad more difficult for the developers than for me so hopefully i'll have more news on that front soon.

Sketches2Scrapbook App update!!

Apple have finally sorted out their promo codes so now they really do work anywhere in the world!! yeah!!

 and so to celebrate the fact that

a) we've reached 850 Facebook fans!!

b) Apple fixed their codes

c) it's the holiday season
